Gold rain for Spoon at The International Content Marketing Awards

Last night, the winners of The International Content Marketing Awards were announced in London. Spoon won in total four awards in the competition for their work with Volvo Trucks and Vasaloppet.

The International Content Marketing Awards is the largest and most prestigious content marketing competition in the world. In 2016, CMA had 450 entries from over 100 different agencies, and 21 countries, making it the most competitive content marketing awards in the world. Spoon received most Nordic nominations in the competition and won altogether two gold and two bronze awards.

“We are incredibly happy and proud of these achievements,” says Anders Ribba, CEO at Spoon. “Big praise to our clients who give us the possibility to work close with them. Then the results often become great.”

Spoon and Volvo Trucks won two gold awards and a silver award for the campaign Volvo Trucks vs 750 Tonnes in ”Best Social”, ”Best Video” and ”Best Distribution Strategy”.

“Very fun! These achievements show the importance of going the extra mile. To not be content with the ‘first best’ solution but to take it one step further and develop the ideas once more”, says Melker Forssén, Chief Creative Director at Spoon.

The launch campaign for the night ski-race “Nattvasan” became a major success and sold out in less than 90 seconds. In CMA it won a silver award for “Best Travel”.

“The campaign shows that well-produced content in combination with a comprehensive distribution plan creates tangible results,” says Björn Owen Glad, marketing manager at Spoon.

On top of the awards in London, the Nordic agency also won most awards at the Pearl Awards gala in New York last week.
