Spoon is currently the leading content agency in the Nordic region. The company is now further enhancing its position by joining forces with Bonnier Media to buy the Norwegian content agency Teft. After the merger, the new Spoon Norway will have 18 Norwegian employees and an expected turnover of more than NOK 30 million in 2016.

Norwegian content agency Teft was formed in 2006, since then it has grown to become a full-service agency and Norway’s strongest owner-managed agency in the field of content marketing. The company now has 14 employees and clients that include Vinmonopolet, Securitas, Kongsberg Gruppen, Statsbygg and a number of daily newspapers.
“Spoon is in a division of its own in our industry, so becoming a member of the Spoon family will give our clients access to tremendous expertise in the areas of digital development, native advertising and analysis,” says Eirik Norderud, CEO of Teft. “Furthermore, we’ll now be joining a network with 20 years’ experience of content marketing, both in the Nordic region and globally. It will generate definite synergies.”

Spoon, a major Nordic operator with several years’ experience from the Norwegian market and its own office in Oslo since 2014, is now merging with Bonnier Media and acquiring 100% of the shares in the company. As part of the deal Bonnier Creative, Bonnier Media’s department for content marketing, will be moved into the new company. Bonnier Creative currently produces content solutions mainly for Bonnier Media’s various advertisers, but also for a number of traditional content marketing customers.

By joining forces with both Spoon and Teft, we’ll be able to clearly create added value for our customers and take up a position as a priority partner,” says Trond Juliussen, CEO of Bonnier Media.
With the new company in place the Spoon Group, that is owned by Bonnier Growth Media, will have 160 employees and a turnover of SEK 250 millions. In addition to three Swedish offices, in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, Spoon has its own office in Finland and a network of partners all over the world.

The merger takes effect as of today’s date. The new company will be named Spoon and will be based in Teft’s current premises on Akersgata in central Oslo. Eirik Norderud, CEO of Teft and one of the company’s three owners, will become CEO of Spoon Norway.
