Spoon digs gold in the USA

The winners at Pearl Awards were announced last night in New York. Spoon won in total three gold awards and one silver award for their work with Volvo Trucks, KONE, and KIWI.

The Pearl Awards is the longest running content marketing awards program in the United States, and it has rewarded excellence in content marketing since 2004. This year, The Content Council received entries from a record 84 companies around the world.

Spoon and Volvo Trucks won gold in the Best Automotive category for The Iron Knight and silver in Best Photography for Driver Report, Lofoten.

Spoon and KONE won gold in the category Industrial, Manufacturing and Construction for Machine Conversations.

”The Machine Conversations campaign shows that distribution isn’t only about getting the purchased part right. You must also invest in good support content for your social media channels to make sure your content stands out”, says Lena Barner-Rasmussen, Agency Director at Spoon’s Helsinki office.

The client is also pleased with the campaign.

”The Machine Conversations campaign was a huge success that not only provided us with a lot of visibility, but also lots of leads. This shows that B2B content can be both inspiring while driving sales at the same time”, says Liisa Kivelä, Director of Communications at KONE.

The Norwegian grocery chain KIWI won Best Retail at the Pearl Awards.

”This is cool! The results are convincing. That we competed successfully internationally is very fun”, says the marketing manager at KIWI, Jacob Rolland.

The campaign was a collaboration between KIWI, Unil, Alexander reklame and Spoon.

”It’s very fun to win gold in this competitive category! A lot is thanks to KIWI, Unil, Alexander reklame and not the least the Spoon team that’s done an incredible job”, says senior advisor and client director Christopher Øyen.
