Spoon nominated at Digital Communication Awards

Tomorrow, the winners of Digital Communication Awards will be decided. Spoon and Kantega are among the nominated entries.

Digital Communication Awards rewards outstanding global achievements in digital communication and marketing. The competition concludes with a finale, where the nominees present their case in front of a grand jury.

Spoon and Kantega are nominated in the category ”Employer Branding & Recruiting Campaign” for their entertaining employer branding video about developers, “The Mysterious Life of Developers”.

“It’s been quite the adventure! Our little humorous film has toured the world and showed that developer humour is a universal phenomenon, and that it’s never wrong to open up and ‘laugh at your own expense’. In this video, everything is taken from the real world. Real offices, real Kantega employees and true nerds”, says Abid Ali Teepo, who is managing Kantega’s Oslo office.

“We’ve received job applicants from both Mexico and the Philippines as well as all over Scandinavia. This is proof that we’ve hit the right spot. We enjoy going to work, and people can see that,” says Marit Collin, CEO at Kantega.

“That we have a good time at work is also revealed in the sequel. It shows another part of the industry, the UX people”, says Teepo.

”The Mysterious Life of Developers” also won the prestigious first prize in ”Best Use of Video in Content Marketing” at the Content Marketing Awards in the US.

“One of the main reasons why the campaign was so successful was that Kantega dared to focus on a niche audience, and that we had a close collaboration with them during the preparation. I had my own ‘developer buddy’, who I could advise to make sure that the script was credible and correct. Of course, it’s great that the video became a hit, but it’s even better that Kantega has achieved concrete results in the form of more job applicants and employees”, says video producer Mats Michael Olsen, at Spoon Oslo.

The competition takes place on the 28 September in Berlin.
